Numinosum Festival is primarily a music and dance event dedicated to traditional Polish, French, Hungarian, Czech music and balfolk dances. It will be four days filled with concerts, dance and music workshops and music sessions. In addition to this, there will be other forms of art related to tradition: tales and singing. Because we want to create a holiday atmosphere in the countryside, we also invite you to participate in common bonfires, walking in the woods, or just relax on the grass in a stunning place, that is the Kampinos National Park.
Numinosum is this unique feeling that is a mixture of delight and fear most people experience when interacting with art. It is a land full of magical charm of sounds, smells and shapes that one discovers when reading a good book. Our dream is to move on for four festival days to such a numinous land of good taste, good music, nature and vibe.
Life at the festival
Every day from morning to early evening we invite you to participate in a series of workshops: dance, music and vocal. They will be led by the best instructors from Poland and abroad. After dinner, concerts and dancing at the Widemayer’s Barn in the open-air museum will start.
After the concerts end, we dance through the lovely forest road to Czarci Chutor, where we continue dancing to the sounds of live music played well into night.
To better summon the spirit of holiday and Polish harvest time, we will sleep under tents (your own or borrowed from us), surrounded by fields and meadows of the Kampinos Virgin Forest. Tents will be raised in proximity of a reconstructed Slavic settlement, Czarci Chutor.
