Lu Barbalùcou is an energetic balfolk band from the very south of France, from the Nice region. Their music is an invitation to a dance journey through Europe, and sometimes even further. During the concert, they will transport you to the world of traditional dances and melodies – from sunny Catalonia, through various regions of France, to Piedmont and Flanders. Their repertoire also includes inspiration from Israel and Ireland, and each song carries a unique story and rhythm that makes it difficult to sit still.
The band combines traditional sounds with contemporary energy, not afraid to play both classically and experimentally.
