Rémi Geffroy is one of the most brilliant accordionists of the young generation on the ballfolk scene. From an early age, he grew up on folk, jazz and rock music. At the age of 10, he entered the conservatory, where he learned to play the diatonic accordion, and later also the electric bass, piano and guitar.
Passionate about the musical worlds of Yann Tiersen, Joe Hisaishi and the Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi. On the basis of these inspirations, he gradually developed his own style. With time, he turned towards Celtic sounds, which resulted in the project The Booze Brothers. However, he has always remained open to mixing genres and styles of music.
For several years he has been giving concerts with his own compositions all over France and Europe, playing both solo and in various projects with other musicians. He became one of the most recognizable musicians on the balfolk scene, playing beautiful mazurkas, waltzes, scottishes, as well as music for circle and chain dances.
