When dancing, especially for those newer to the practice, there’s often a tendency to overcomplicate things: excessive variations, rapid spins, and overly elaborate arm movements. This can make the dance less enjoyable, particularly for the follower.
This workshop explores how to maintain an engaging and stylish dance without overwhelming your partner. The goal is to focus on simplicity and clarity, shifting from a “more is more” approach to one where “less is more, but still captivating.”
Participants will work on breaking down different dances, discovering easy and effective variations that emphasize the main beat (and, time permitting, the upbeat). The session will primarily focus on waltzes, polkas, and scottish dances (some italian traditional polkas and valz will be proposed as well as part of the workshop) .
